Alpine took the guesswork out of complete sound system building with Alpine Image Defined (ID), and approach to created sound system “families” that include matching core components that complement each other for the ultimate sound imaging. Alpine’s X-Series is the first set of audio components to be engineered under this new approach.
X-Series speaker cones are made from a specialized, tightly interwoven Nano-fiber material that creates a cone structure that is lightweight and rigid. The 1” dome tweeter is made from carbon graphite for a sturdy yet softer sound. Together, they create accurate sound reproduction and a proper sound stage in the front and center of your vehicle.
X-Series speakers incorporate Alpine’s patented High-Amplitude Multi-Roll (H.A.M.R.) technology that uses a rubber woofer surround to control the cone movement and temperature at higher volumes, so the cone can move air while staying cool. The result is an extremely reliable performance that creates accurate sound reproduction.
An updated hardware design allows X-Series speakers to fit into tighter install locations without sacrificing performance. The updates include a neodymium magnet that’s repositioned to the center of the voice coil for direct drive of the coil and increased efficiency and accuracy. Not the mention, the centralized magnet allows for a reduced outer basket size that fits into various vehicle applications.
